ACTIVITIES

Gridless Africa’s activities can be generally categorized under our 4 Cs;
Communication, Content, Conferences, and Consultancy.

COMMUNICATION

The organization’s communication strategy is focused on steering discussions and actions to engage stakeholders in both the private and public sectors.

CONTENT

We create renewable energy content in the form of articles, blogs, reports, research papers and white papers that support a wide base of industry professionals and enthusiasts. Our research teams also provide our raw data which can be assessed publicly.

CONFERENCES

Gridless Africa facilitates and sponsors events such as conferences, workshops, and seminars largely focusing on clean energy sub-sectors including government policy, technology, personnel development, project management, finance, operations, maintenance, and law.

The organization also exploits opportunities to partner with other organizations to arrange such events.

CONSULTANCY

We also identify consulting opportunities to offer clean energy expert advice in collaboration with our partners. These will provide value-added services to promote the long-term advancement of clean energy adoption in different parts of Africa.

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Developing a vibrant clean energy community in Africa.

  • Hosting more than 140 public interview sessions with renewable energy professionals currently driving clean energy initiatives across Africa

  • Facilitating and supporting renewable energy conferences; Solarex 2017, Power Nigeria Conference 2017 and 2018, and Nigeria Energy Forum 2017, 2018 and 2019.

  • Rigorously increasing awareness of renewable energy sources including solar, wind, geothermal and biofuels through public and stakeholder engagements.

  • Accelerating clean energy discussions and sharing best practices across different regions in Africa.

MEET THE TEAM

Our team combines energy with professionalism and keen commitment towards achieving Gridless Africa’s goals.

Olu founded Gridless Africa in 2016 and has since been responsible for the execution and delivery of the organisation’s objective across Africa.

He is passionate about promoting renewable energy and ensuring Gridless Africa’s vision is attained.

OLU OGUNLELA

Lanre is a co-founder and oversees Gridless Africa’s development drive and strategic partnerships. He is a renewable energy advocate, entrepreneur and power sector professional.

LANRE OKANLAWON

Khadijat is Gridless Africa’s Head of Communications. She brings her research and communications experience to Gridless Africa.  Khadijat is a PhD Graduate of Power Engineering from Cardiff University, UK and very passionate about clean energy and the environment.

KHADIJAT JOSE-ADELAJA

Temitope leads Gridless Africa’s research teams. Her interests include Sustainable energy research and development for Rural Africa focussing on Energy Efficiency and Management, Energy Economics and Data Analytics. Temitope is currently a researcher at Covenant University, Nigeria and a member of several rural electrification initiatives in Africa.
